Our process:
- Completely disassemble unit and clean inside and out
- Repack lower bearing
- Replace upper housing bearings if any sign of wear
- Every metal piece cleaned and free of rust to ensure strength for years to come
- Housing painted to provide additional protection
- NEW ignition lock cylinder with 2 keys provided
- NEW lower ignition switch with striker
With over 25 years of experience rebuilding steering columns, each column is carefully disassembled and each part inventoried. The column is thoroughly cleaned inside and out. All tolerances and clearances are checked. The main steering shaft is cleaned, re-greased, and reinstalled with the above repacked or new bearings. This ensures that your steering wheel will never wobble or have any play in it. Finally, new switches are installed. The turn signal switch is double-checked for functionality and reinstalled. The entire column is oiled and then shrink wrapped to keep any atmospheric moisture out until its ready for its new home.
